This celebration, typical to parts of Latin America is a time to honor and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have died and to acknowledge death as a part of life.Children Remember: A memory art project

We would like to invite you to be a part of our celebration. As students of Elementary through High School you may have someone special who is no longer with us whom you would like to remember by making a portrait of him or her.

How to participate:

  • Make a portrait (max. size 11×15”) of a person, friend, family member or pet who has died.
  • Include a handwritten description (in, beside or on a separate 4×6” paper) about why that person or pet is important to you.
  • Turn it in with your completed registration form  by October 14th to Colors of Spanish.

Children Remember: A memory art project All of the portraits will be reviewed by a committee and given prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The portraits will be exhibited in the Petaluma Regional Library and divided into four categories based on grade levels:
K-3 | 4-6 | 7-9 | 10-12
