You might agree with us that summer vacation went very fast! Hope you all had a great back to school and wishing you all a great year. We are especially thinking of those little ones starting kindergarten this year! We are happy that we have seen some of our Colors of Spanish students joining our local dual immersion school, Loma Vista Immersion Academy.
In this post, I am sharing some info about:
- Start of Fall 2017 classes (Tuesday & Fridays)
- Expansion of program in Mill Valley (Mondays & Wednesdays)

And we are excited to share with you that our classes have extended on Mondays morning at Strawberry Recreation District this semester in Mill Valley. The Mill Valley Recreation Center will continue classes on Wednesday afternoon – please check the schedule. We are offering classes for homeschool for older kids as well.
Our Spanish preschool program has extended this semester as well. This semester we are also will be offering an after school program for kindergartens at Tam Valley School, Mill Valley. In Santa Rosa, we want to welcome students of Mixed Greens at their second facilities at Lia Lane. Thanks to all families that have referred our Spanish preschool program to their child’s preschool.
The good news did not end there. Our Family Spanish story time is back to the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa on Thursdays at 1pm. This is a free event with entrance. In addition to that, October will come with El Día de los Muertos Story time at many different local libraries. Please save the dates! Petaluma Spanish story time will continue the first Saturday of the month at 10:15am and we will make a few more appearances at the Roseland Community Library in Santa Rosa.
And since we are talking about story time, guess how is back this fall to the San Francisco Science Academy? Yes, we will be there on October 10th and October 31st at 9:15a.
We are also will be teaming up with Linsey form The Art Room to offer a workshop combining art with Spanish language and culture for kids ages 6 to 10. The workshop will be 3 consecutive Thursdays: November 30, December 7, and December 14. Each class will be from 4pm to 6pm at Mentor Me Cavanagh Rec Center. We will be focusing on Latin American winter celebrations while speaking Spanish, making piñatas, cooking tamales, and much more!
