Who We Are

Founded in Sonoma County in 2004, Colors of Spanish supports families, schools, and organizations in fostering meaningful Spanish language learning from an early age.

Through programs that integrate music, movement, and storytelling, we create engaging experiences that support language development, cultural connection, and whole-child growth.

In addition to working directly with children, Colors of Spanish provides professional development and training for educators seeking practical, research-informed strategies to support bilingualism in early childhood settings.

Why bilingualism matters

Children who grow up connected to more than one language develop stronger communication skills, deeper cultural awareness, and greater cognitive flexibility. For many families, maintaining Spanish is not only about language—it is about identity, belonging, and connection across generations. At Colors of Spanish, we help make that journey joyful, meaningful, and sustainable.

Origin of the Name

Colors of Spanish celebrates the beauty and diversity of the Spanish language across the world. Each country adds its own color—its expressions, culture, and voice—creating a rich and vibrant linguistic tapestry where every identity shines.
