As we transition from March into April, I’m always reminded of how much this season reflects what we do every day—growth, curiosity, and new beginnings.
Some of our students already enjoyed their spring break, and for others—especially in Petaluma—that time is coming up during the week of April 6–10. During that week, we’re excited to be at Cherry Valley Elementary School offering a special Cuentos Mágicos session for students in grades 1–3, from 9:00am–1:00pm.
* There are just a few spots left if you’re looking for a meaningful, enriching experience for your child during break.
April is also a very special time for us as we celebrate Día del Niño (Children’s Day)—a tradition widely celebrated in Mexico on April 30. It’s a day dedicated to honoring children, their joy, their voice, and their place at the center of our families and communities.
At Colors of Spanish, this is something we carry with us every day—creating spaces where children feel seen, connected, and inspired through language, music, and storytelling.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this community.

You can also explore simple ways to bring Spanish into your home this season—like songs about spring, animals, and counting that invite children to move, sing, and connect with the language.
