Cuentos en español

These are the books that we will be presenting during the week. It is not necessary to obtain these books, but for those that were interested, I have included links as possible. If you are not able to locate a Spanish version, you might also consider a copy in English and see how your student compares some of the English with what they remember of the Spanish vocab.

Dibujando arte

Throughout the week we will be posting the art projects that we do in class. If you think that your student might benefit from having as black & white, unfinished copy of the artwork, then please print it out and have ready for them to follow along during the drawing instruction and then participate in the coloring portion.

However, please note: the real reason behind these activities has nothing to do with your student’s abilities as an artist.. but, rather the activity is used as a medium to follow instructions while passively listening in order to infere meaning.

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary for them to understand all of the instructions. We are practicing our abilities to figure out meaning, as we get exposure to the use of the language. While listening to the live presentation, just have them ‘turn-off’ their ears, and follow along with the demonstration.

VIDEOS: After each class we will submit a video of that project. If your student didn’t have time to finish their drawings during class, or whether they would like to do again.. please check back for the embedded videos for these drawing projects. If they are using the follow up video, just have them follow, pause, rewind.. until they are happy with their unique representation!
